Projects

 

Let's make some theatre together!

 

We run longer term devising projects with young people and emerging theatre-makers to develop an original piece of theatre.

 

Led by two company members, we will begin the project by running a series of training workshops to develop participant’s devising skills and to form a new collaborative ensemble. As a group, we'll discuss what we're excited by and what we want to talk about to establish a line of enquiry to base our new show on. We'll then start to generate a wealth of new material that follows our collective interests until a show begins to emerge. We'll then enter rehearsals to turn our new show into a full production that we can be proud of.

After this project participants will:

• Have a strong understanding of The Wardrobe Ensemble’s devising process. 

• Have challenged themselves creatively and developed their skillset in all aspects of devising.

• Have worked collaboratively with their peers to make a new piece of theatre. 

 

We have run projects like this at Rose Bruford College, The North Wall Arts Lab, Bristol Old Vic Theatre and the National Theatre.​

• We will develop an appropriate timescale that works for you. This may be a series of workshops over a few months or an intensive residency over 4 - 6 weeks.
